2007 Sentra Thermostat

YES there ARE TWO Thermostats (Upper & Lower) BE SURE TO BREAK BOLTS LOOSE BY HAND BEFORE USING AN AIR TOOL! ALSO HAVE A GOOD ANGLE WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE TO BREAK THEM LOOSE. USE A SIX POINT SOCKET! (Air bleed holes go UP on ALL thermostats.)I'd use anti-seize on the bolt threads here. I DID take the breather inlet tube off FIRST. SORRY I FORGOT TO TURN OFF MY FAN! God Bless Everyone.

Greatly appreciate your video. I wish I would have read your video details prior to rounding off not 1 but 2 of the bolt heads. But like you said, go ahead and get those new tools you been wanting and practice those four letter words. Thanks brother!

i have a 2011 and it seems like the new thermostats wont open up like they should causing it to hit 110 to 112 celsius ...then it'll open and fall down...been through different brands all the same problems...such a weird problem. i have no leaks or air getting in the systems i pressure checked and did a block test everything and psi on the cylinders checked fine. It keeps pointing back to the lower thermostat not opening like it should.

Sounds like you may need to (carefully) remove a heater hose ( the upper most one) and make sure no air is trapped in the system.

@@youroam1 ya i burped the system even put it on ramps and let the air come out and still have the same problem with the lower tstat

@@youroam1 seems like it wont open till 110c even though it's an 82c t stat....it's crazy i tested the t stat it opens like it should at the right temp just not in the vehicle...

@@jrock865 Another possibility is the water pump impeller may be slipping on the shaft therefore not moving enough coolant OR if its a metal impeller I have seen them rust down in size causing the same situation. (I'm assuming the radiator is not restricted.)

@@youroam1 ya i put a new water pump in and it'll work fine without the lower stat in no problems whatsoever but with it all hell breaks loose
