Hybrid battery pack replacements have become a lot more affordable than they use to be. We recently had one replaced at a local shop who specializes in Hybrid batteries for $999 on a 2009 Toyota Prius. The replacement comes with a warranty and is guaranteed to work. The $999 was their summer special and I believe the regular price was closer to $1200 or $1300. In my experience the battery packs on these Toyota's last until around the 200k mile range give or take. You will certainly get your moneys worth from fuel savings even if you have to invest in a new battery at some point in the future. I hope this helped. Thank you for your interest.
