1. You forgot to clean the engine block surface where the gasket sits. 2. You forgot to apply the Silicone gasket maker sealant at the timing chain and cam area. Even with new gasket, the oil will definitely leak at that location without gasket sealant. 3. When we decided to replace this gasket, I would also remove all spark plugs, inspect and clean the plug or replace it if needed along with cleaning the plug installation area. 4. It is better to install silicone gasket than rubber which will last longer. The torque you applied to bolts was very good quality control.

I would not use an aftermarket gasket- toyota specs (japan/korean) provide the right fitment over felpro (fails). Addtionally there needs to be gasket sealer silicone (OEM grey) at the timing chain and cam - there is a noticable split two blobs of gasket sealer needs to be there front and back.

So you need gasket sealer silicon ? Do you put it first and then gasket?

@@jesuscervantes143425 This is common practice for all rubber type gaskets with any manufacture. where ever the rubber seal gaskets make sharp turns the appropriate silicone is applied to avoid leaks. specially german cars.

Great video, quick question, what were the two little o-rings that you took out of the new gasket packet. I have one ordered and I do not want to get it wrong or miss anything that I need to install.

What brand Torque Wrench is that? None that I find online will facilitate 11NM and 9NM. All the torque wrenches I see online start at around 14NM. I'd hate to have to spend $100 on a torque wrench just to use one time.

Ha! You will be able to use it once you get your obligatory leak at the timing chain tensioner when you either replace the unit or the gasket.
