This is for engine code BPY, transmission code 09G. The transmission code is the relevant one here. It is stamped into the transmission pan, underneath, not the oil pan. FSI means fuel straight injection, which refers to the engine.

There is a transmission shop not too far from me. I usually take my used oil and transmission fluid there. They burn it for heat. They have some sort of waste oil burner. All that they ask is that there is no antifreeze, brake fluid or other stuff in there. If there is any of that in there it might cause problems.

How has that fluid been working for you? I only wonder because sometimes these things are a little bit sensitive to other brands of fluids being used. Now what ever that is I could not use it in my 2013 Passat unless it is also good for WS. The older 09Gs used Type T-IV if it was G 055 025 A2. I had a 2006 Jetta 2.5 with a 09G that looks identical to the one in my Passat. The Passat felt so similar to the Jetta that I had before it that I already had a good idea what to expect. The main difference is that the Passat seems to have a softer ride and that is more noticeable in the corners unfortunately.
