@Stonymypony Because Shayla scored higher than the other two in qualifications. Also, in qualifications Shayla performed slightly better than she did in the team finals.

I think Shawn was way underscored. In my opinion she did way better on floor than she did on bars and she got the same score. Doesn't make any sense to me.

I don't get why Shawn got the scores she did. I think she was one of the major reasons that gymnastics has lost so much artistry. Yes, she was a powerful and clean tumbler but to me that's all she was. She was too stocky to be artistic. I would much rather watch gymnasts like nastia liukin and svetlana khorkina. They have artistry in bundles and are strong enough tumblers to be called real artistic gymnasts which is what the sport is called.
