Riding in luxury! Very nice bike on a cold day. Some hot tea would be good in the cup holder of yours! Thanks for sharing. God bless!

My friend's 2007 and my 2010 FJR have the exact same thing going on with the gas gauge. The full tank indicator only last about 10 miles before the first bar is gone. At the end of the tank, the last bar flashes early. I fill it up because it says its about to go dry but I only ever get ~4.5 gallons in it. if it indeed has a 6.6 gallon tank I'm only 2/3 empty when I go to fill. it's a waste of time and energy. Still need to do some more testing. Good to know other people have the same issue.

@@weebercorey Yeah, it was kind of frustrating to me at first but I’m used to it now. I usually wait until the last bar is flashing before I look to fill up when I’m on a long ride. If you continue to fill after it’s full and let it drain down and fill, keep doing that until it stays slightly above the metal ring then you can go about 20 miles before the first bar drops off.

I keep eyeballing a newer fjr 1300. are the new ones worth it, you think?
@herbiesgarage6812 ай бұрын
@@Briansgate boy, that’s a tough call. The brand new ones are around $17k around here, I have a hard time paying that much money for something that I can still get lots of use out of at around $3500-$5000 on a used bike. With that being said if money wasn’t the object then I would say that the new FJR would be a great bike for the money comparatively to other bikes. I think the Kawasaki concours 1400 was supposed to be discontinued soon, maybe already I don’t know. But the FJR is still going which makes it great to know that the manufacturer is still supporting this machine. I think resale value is very good as well. I love buying brand new as I’ve done several times, no worries from previous owners failures are of course the warranty. Good luck with your decision, I don’t think you could go wrong with either new or used myself.

No more Goldwing?

@@MelloYellow510 No, I sold it before buying the FJR. I usually only keep a bike for a year or two before moving on to something else. The GL1800 is on my wish list though. 😊
