Get your pilot/ needle/ air jetting right and you should not need to have the idle cranked

Brought myself wr250f because of the advice you have given on this and multiple other of your vids .I owned a 98 cr250 but like the wr more .And to feed the trolls because you know .KZbin 4t over 2t for smoothness and predictability .Keep up the good work

I have the WR250F. I did all the free mods and jetted. 185 main, 42 pilot, 50 leak jet, o-ring mod the acc pump spring to the actuator, and needle clip varies but I keep it in 3rd. Air/fuel mixture screw at 1 3/4 out and the bike rips. I run a 51 rear sprocket. His idle is way too high. This motor can produce awesome low end without it

Got the idle turned up so it will go? Think you better clean the pilot jet or put in a bigger one, crankin' up the idle to cover up a flat spot aint a cure.

@@vegasromaniac Thanks buddy. Ordered a lowering link and soon a seat concepts seat to see how it'll do as a 50/50 trail bike. Can't seem to get around the more frequent maintenance however.

I would like to get a lighter dual sport for closer to home trail riding, and use my KLR650 for longer range trips. I have a KLR250, but it would need a lot of upgrades to get it up to the action I would want to put a lighter bike through. Someday maybe. hahha
