Lucky in Australia the bike comes with the map switch and CCU from dealer. Here in Canada you have to buy the parts extra...I need to load a more trail friendly map. I find it really "touchy" in stock form on tight trails. I am going to "uncork" the bike this week and see if it helps

Has anyone tried to mount the exhaust in this bike directly backwards? It would improve exhaust efficiency. What's the point of wrapping it around the engine?

The length of the header directly relates to the back pressure for low end grunt and torque. Wrapping it around tunes it correctly. You would clearly notice the difference

This 250f has crazy torque, but still revs high. Long headers make more torque

The header needs leangh to create a vacuum for the camshaft overlap, without this vacuum the engine will have trouble running.

Well the yz250fx is more of a cross country bike and the wr250f is more of a enduro bike. It depends if you wanna do more enduro or cross country.

2020 WR250F or KTM EXC250F?

I like the KTM main reason steel frame (slimmer) and lighter weight. Hydraulic clutch, have had a lot of Yamaha's just like the feel of a KTM (seems much more flickable). Wished Yamaha would go back to steel frames. KTM is like over 20+ lbs lighter.

@@mt1885 Yamaha has superior suspension and more low end power. KTM 350 with cone valve suspension would be sweet but very expensive. Clutch pull is light on the 250 Yamaha and is not an issue.

The KTM isnt 20lbs lighter, its listed as dry weight. The Yamaha will have a lot more torque and the best suspension plus its bullet proof w/ 30 hour oil changes
