Great video thankyou. Just changed the pair of dipped headlight bulbs using this method on my 09 UK spec Honda Accord estate. Slightly differences noticed but caused my no issues. For example 4 x 10mm bolts holding g headlight unit in and none of those nose pegs to hang the bumper on while you push it back in but a great video to give me the confidence for a DIY job local Honda wanted £265 and local garages around £150. New pyshclips and bulbs costs me £20. Ramps were a must especially with mine having a splitter on front bumper making it even lower. The dipped Headlight bulbs were H1s and unlike this video were behind a cover u need to 1/8 turn to remove. They were very hard to turn and i used adjustable grips to get purchase.

In case you still want ideas about getting the headlight out - as you mention after you wrestled that guy loose, you can easily take the lower plastic bracket off with two 10mm bolts. Just remove those so it's two pieces and you'll have the flexibility to get it out without much hassle :)
@TrickShiftGarage Жыл бұрын
Yea I really wish I would have done that in the video to help show everyone how easy it is.
@rbnrdzАй бұрын
Did you use a wrench to take off the bracket cuz I can’t reach underneath when the headlight is in place.
@ZaudunyaniАй бұрын
@@rbnrdz with the front bumper off, you should be able to use a wrench to get to the two 10mm bolts. There are little slots/journals in the bracket and frame to get the wrench in there. A ratcheting wrench is suggested, but a regular one works too :)

@@TrickShiftGarageno, you just mention how to take em off. Regardless, good to know. Also what I really appreciate about the video is the time that you took to explain how the electrical connectors are removed by showing the part that you have to push down. So many videos take that kind of thing for granted. The arrows you put in the freeze frame also help tremendously. Great attention to detail.

So is it better to replace them vs cleaning them?
@TrickShiftGarage23 күн бұрын
That's up to you. If you want to keep the factory headlights and save some money, you can clean them. I cleaned these up and they look great. Or, you can check out aftermarket units on Amazon for relatively cheap.

Can you pleases share a link for the exact clips? The clips in the description are all different sizes- not sure which one to get
@TrickShiftGarage9 ай бұрын
Not every clip is the exact same size. Some fit perfectly in one hole but are too big in another. That's why a kit like the one I put in the description is so valuable. You can always go to your local Honda Dealer and get new clips from them, but that's going to be more expensive. It's up to you! Thanks for watching! 🤟
