Torque spec for spindle nut would be nice also. I read that if the hub bearing bolts aren't all the same torque it could cause premature failure. Nice video
@Nexus-62 жыл бұрын
Torque spec is 249 lb-ft for the spindle nut.

Good explanation and documentation of what needs to be done to change the wheel bearing, but you will be changing that Dorman bearing again within 2 years.

Same I don't have a clue I'm the 5th owner on a 2013 111k miles and I'm probably the only owner that knows how to maintain it I had a rear Caliper seized on the rotor all 4 brakes needed the guides greases and the pads replaced

Great video! I’m curious why Toyota calls it a grease cap but doesn’t say to use grease. Anything wrong with applying some axle grease before putting the cap on?

Jus had both wheel bearings on my 07 Tundra done a couple weeks ago and now my rusty, nasty dust shield is rattling horribly on one side.... Not sure why they didn't recommend replacing those since they were in there anyways but I'm not happy about it!!!

I noticed you did not need to use a press for the wheel bearing? Is that because the new one was already pressed together?
@zigzach83302 жыл бұрын
Yes they are already pressed in. However if you have a press at home to remove the old bearing that eliminates the need for the entire new hub whereas you can just replace the bearings.
