2008-2020 3.6L Dodge Grand Caravan - Engine Oil Change and Oil Filter Replacement

I have done many pentastar oil changes and one big fat achilles heel with this motor is that plastic filter housing. For this reason, I have never bit down on that thing with anything near 25Nm of torque. That is 18.4ft-lbs and that is madness! As long as you put the new oring on it, you cant go wrong with just a little more torque over hand tight which is only about 5-7ft-lbs. I have done this for years and have never leaked a drop or had vibration loosening. But if you want to crack that housing, go ahead slap a breaker bar on it and wang down on it.
