Do you know is the fuel pressure regulator part of the fuel pump on a 2008 Dodge Ram 5.7l Hemi? My fuel rail looses pressure when I just activate the fuel pump.

you must use the right tool, with the screwdriver and hammer you can produce spark and explosion, you must use bronze tool

@@dondadaherb4412 bought a pack of clips from Auto Zone surprisingly the clip for a Ford fit hope this helps

@@dondadaherb4412 I bought clips from Auto Zone. They were actually clips that were made for a Ford 150. They fit just buy a few in case you break one.

I believe the difference was the angle of the feed lines. And it was a $400-500 price difference as well. It was ridiculous though

Got it. So after you remove the red safety clip there is another tab that you need to press/squeeze to open the quick release and pull away from the pump to take off. Lmk if this helps

Hello Jabo the Mechanic, I am wondering if you could specify the make/model of the fuel pump that you used? I am currently researching fuel pumps for my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 after a mechanic shop gave me an estimate of $1180 for a new fuel pump. This seems suspiciously high. Thanks.

Hi! The fuel will cost around 800 from napa or autozone. Its the tank size you have its the 35 gallon that one is expensive

Great video. How were you able to determine it was the fuel pump and not the fuel pump relay?

You can bypass the relay to add power to the pump to see if it turns on and you need to make sure that you are getting 12v and a good ground at the fuel pump.

I used an ohms meter on the pump connector and saw 14v. I took the tire off to get to it. I ordered my TIPM but don’t need it now since the new pump fixed my problem.
