Wow, i never thought id find someone that i actually liked listening to while replacing parts . Excellent job, as i have a 2012 .The fan shroud is the biggest pain in the a.. in the whole job. I thought about some modification on my fan shroud on the top part so i could take part of it off to replace the belt easier if it should ever break. The engineers never design things to be a little bit easier. Great video . Update 1 month after my original comment. I removed the fan clutch and fan shroud and replaced it with an all electric fan from a 2012 V6 Ram and bought a Diablosport Trinity Platinum tuner to adjust when the fan comes on. I also removed my AC lines as I don't use it, I removed the AC/transmission cooler and replaced it with a Mishimoto universel automatic transmission cooler. While I was at it I replaced the water pump, radiator, tensioner, idler pulley, hoses and belt. As I had 85 thousand miles on it and that's when those parts start to go. Now I have spares if needed. It's great to open the hood and see a big round AFE filter on it without that big ugly plastic box with that flat filter in it. And I can now actually see that HEMI.

This video helped a ton! Got it done on a 2013 Ram 1500. One note, I almost made a bad mistake! The bracket that needs to be removed has a nut on the outside, THEN after removing the bracket there is another nut to remove the bolt. I didn’t realize this and began prying on the pump and probably almost snapped it.

Question on the two M8-1.25x30mm bolts to the t stat. Where do you find them? Bought some from Autozone and almost stripped threads. I only have 1 factory bolt as other broke during removal. New bolt turned fine by hand until I went to tighten by socket and just kept turning. Is there another place I can pull a factory bolt on the truck while I wait? Factory bolt is properly seated where I tried putting new bolt now. I appreciate the help! Got me through my first water pump change. Thanks!

After removing my serpentine belt and starting engine the knock disappears. My water pump pulley has a slight bit of play but its not leaking or overheating.
