A note for potential buyers... The rear seat headrests do not need to be removed to fold the rear seats flat. A step was skipped in this video which makes this clear. All you have to do is slide the front seats forward before folding the rears down. The headrests fit perfectly under the front seats after the front seats are slid back into position. Also, the rear seats have two recline positions, just pull up the handle and push back to recline the seats to the second position. Fantastic car.
@kidecchi8 жыл бұрын
+PatonHaus seems like more work to NOT remove the headrests. lol. unless there is sliding button BEHIND the front seats.

I have a 2008 Honda FIT automatic with 210,000 miles and love it. The automatic runs at 2200 rpm, while the manual runs at 2800 rpm, so the automatic is so much quieter. The engine is peppy and I get up to 36 mpg. This car is so comfy and easy to put groceries in, with the magic seats! I'm going to run this car, until it dies.

My 07 Fit Sport 5 spd (red) is still going at 278k. Electric power steering now a little glitchy, but hey. I love the deep growl of the 1.5 in this car, not the high pitched sound in some other Hondas. The VTEC kicks in around 3700-3800 rpm, and the little beast still tears up the road.
@RedMango552 жыл бұрын

The 2008 Honda Fit Sport 5-speed (Blue) is the current car I'm driving (about the only difference is having the standard shifter). I have been driving it since I got it in late 2007. All I can say is, I love it! There is one thing you mention in this video that doesn't make sense to me. Also you forgot to mention one amazing feature with the seats! At 6:27 don't take the headrest of the back-seat out, just use the knob on the top side of the front-seat and move the front-seat forward. The headrests from the back-seat will fit perfectly underneath the front-seats when the the front-seats are moved back into place. The forgotten feature! Take the headrest off the front-seats and place them in the floor of the back-seat. Get out of the car and use the lever on the top side to move the front-seat all the way forward. Then fold the front-seat all of the way back. If the seat doesn't go all the way down. Then use the back-seat release latch which is used at 6:24 and push the back-seat towards the back of the car. This will give you that extra room for the front-seat to properly go seamlessly down (note: the people at the dealership didn't know the back-seat could go back to give the front-seat room for this feature). Now you can sit in the back-seat with your legs and feet propped up! As for the road noise, it isn't as bad as the Civic. Everyone knows how much road noise the Civic has. However I don't notice it since I'm having too much fun driving the Fit around. :)

I just bought an 08. Plan to drive to and from work. Have a feeling my son who just got his license will end up driving it. Once he finds out how much gas his pickup will go thru in 2 days. Hope I will like this little biggie as much as I love my 2013 Toyota Venza. Which I still own and have no plans of getting rid of. The Fit I bought has 175,000 miles, very clean inside and out. Person I bought car from had jiffy lube service done, our state vehicle inspection and filled tank with gas. Very solid car for under $2,000 cash. So far very happy with my new buggie. Now to add a few after market upgrades to him.

@lgmnowkondo9387 жыл бұрын
just in terms of the feel...so it's purely subjective to me. If you like the second gen, then go for it. I may like coke and you might like pepsi...no big deal. To me the first gen feels more nimble and has more direct steering...I really like those 2 qualities in particular. THe second gen feels more like a tank...and the steering is vague. Again...it's not leaps and bounds different, it's just my opinion.
@baksi077 жыл бұрын
