2008 Hyundai SantaFe (Valve cover gasket recall and Alternator replacement)

Hyundai has decided to conduct a service campaign to inspect (and if necessary replace) the alternator and replace the front valve cover gasket on certain 2007-2009 model year Santa Fe vehicles.

This is exactly what happened to my wife's 08 Santa Fe. Oil leaked from the gasket and fried the alternator.the vehicle died in the middle lane on the highway and dam near caused a bad accident
