Thanks man. I hope you make the best choice for your money. Both good cars in my opinion, but I think the Ms are sportier and handle better, while the Lexus is more luxurious. The M35 of course, would be better than the V8 due to weight difference in the nose, but the suspension and rear active steering of the sport models helps in the driving dynamics greatly.

I have an 07 M45 sport. Its looks just like yours to the right headlight cover. Except my ambient light is orange on the inside. Nothing wrong with it. Rolling strong with a 162k on it. I absolutely love this vehicle

I have a 2006 M45 as well, brought it in 2018 for 5500 with 190k miles on it. I drove it from Georgia to Dallas a couple of times. From Georgia to South Carolina, also from Mississippi to Memphis Tn. I love this car and it’s durability no Major issues with this car no what do ever. After I finish truck driving school and get my feet wet in the industry, I will be up grading to the Q70 sport! I can’t see myself in a different make and model type of car!!

I was considering buying a 2006-2010 M45 with the sport package but im really leaning towards the M37S or M56S i love the aggressive look that the sport models give you and i can drive it for a while without touching the wheels im looking to upgrade soon so i been looking at the Mercedes-Benz CL550 & S550 both with the AMG appearance package but might end up with the Infiniti for a more less cost to own and maintain standpoint i hope i can find one in black or dark gray but i prefer the black on black

Hey Ed I noticed this model has the chrome line even on the wood trim on the door. Is this just for 2008 sport models? I have a 2007 m45 sport and although it has chrome trim along the front of the rose wood it doesn’t have it on the doors, not sure if previous owner replaced them for non sport ones or if the 07 sport models just didn’t come with chrome trim along the wood panels on the doors.

you can easily pop off the back of the center console where the red and white audio cables are connected unscrew 2 screws drill a hole inside your center console and u can wire the aud cable through there and keep the lid/tray closed. looks alot cleaner and the aux cable can be tucked back into the center console. I took the extra step and tookout the cigarette charger and connected a 3 way usb port and tucked it inside next to all the components in the center console and put my iphone charger through the same hole as the aux in the center console and put a usb port that fit perfectly into the hole where the center console was, i can send some pictures if interested. Youve helped me so much thought i could help a little back

Thanks for the tip. I usually have the cables temporarily hooked because I move between cars pretty often. I'll consider buying spares and they can just remain in their respective cars.

EdBwoy you’re welcome, that makes a lot of sense then if you ever decide to keep one for good definitely look into it gives the car a more modern look. People always think my cars like 2012 since it was so ahead of its time. ( however the lack of aux isn’t)

EdBwoy hey have a question for you, recently I tried to drive my car but when I put it in drive the engine didn’t rev nor did the rpms go up it only coasted forward slowly. However when it’s in park and neutral the engine revs fine. I’m thinking it might be the alternator? My cars well past 150k miles now and I know they tend to go out around then. I’m not mechanic or anything just a dyi guy so wondering if you think it’s the alternator or something else. Thanks

@@JESUSISKING77742 there isn't enough info to troubleshoot fully, but it doesn't look like a charging issue to me, maybe a slip up of the transmission. Have you had all your recalls done? Gas pedal.

EdBwoy I have done the passenger side airbag, when I asked wether the gas pedal needed to be done the person at infinti i said my car didn’t need the gas pedal recall but I will check double check because it could be that.

In the past year I've done 3 oil changes, which I'd say are always a good idea. I also replaced air filter, in-cabin filter, faulty windshield washer level sensor, idler pulley was very slightly squeaky so I replaced all 3 pulleys. Were these others necessary? Maybe not to everyone, but I like my stuff running at 100%, no dash lights or funny sounds - and it all cost less than $200. So if I was running it on the lean program all I would have spent last year would be the cost of 3 oil changes.

I've had a preowned 07 for about 5 years now and NEVER paid for anything major. I've had air intake hose, spark plugs, and belts changed. Normal oil changes and that's it. I love it lol

Hey Ed. Fred again I'm. Getting ready to install front and rear eibach springs. I watched your videos on you removing the the front control arms is that necessary or can I just remove the lower 17mm bolt and 3 12mm nuts up top and slide the struts out in between the control arms. Thanks for any info you have to help me out

Is this with regards to the front upper arms? Not necessary. I have done the job by removing the lower strut mount bolt + that seemingly-random black bracket. Remove the 3 nuts in the engine bay on the strut tower then the whole assembly should lower. Swing the strut out and you're money. Of course, remove the ABS cable and anything else in the way of the strut.

Welcome to the club, congratulations! I like to make sure the most important bits are in good shape first, then I move on from there. Engine, transmission and the other things that would pop a code affecting emissions... at that point, the optiins are endless. Wrap the car, get a big brake kit, find other wheels if you don't like the sport 19s, etc...

Get some pro pilot sports gen4 275/35/19 rear 255/40/19 front. Exhaust for sure. Maybe springs? Cai. Smile a lot when driving. I know I do.

The sport could get the rosewood as an option, but you could not get aluminum in non-sport.

How reliable is the V8 engine? A few searches online mention oil consumption issues. I currently have a 08 GS350 and I’m trying to decide be a GS460 or a 08+ M45 Sport.

I find them pretty reliable. Of all the VK45DEs I've owned, I can't say I ever had excessive consumption. Mine consumes no more than half a quart over 6,000 miles, but I still check often. That is on par with other makes and models I've experienced. The Infiniti will be cheaper than any comparable Lexus in the market.

I just bought a 06 sport with 146k miles, car is in great shape, no dings, paint job is not perfect but car looks and sounds good. The only concern I have is the transmission oil looks dirty, I want to take the car for trans flush but i get mixed opinions about doing one, they tell me if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Your thoughts??

I would do a drain and fill. Drain 5 quarts, replace with 5 quarts etc. I am an advocate for clean fluid. A trans *flush* is unnecessary.

Yes a fully loaded M is very hard to come by with sport package you know this... I would love to compare the m35 S 09-10 for that HR/7 Speed.. I think like you did in one of your vids it's M56xS or M37xS next time, though i'm leaning to a FX50S

More variety if you can get the V6s together. 06 M35, 09 M35 and 11 M37. What I really wish for is a side by side, drag race type deal. It would be even better for the V6 vs. V8 of each year. These questions always come up when people are considering platforms that came with more than one engine choice.

The Bluetooth will only work for audio calling (the quality can be questionable). Unfortunately they don't have Bluetooth audio streaming.

If we've discussed this before, remind me the background of your issues. But no, there's nothing that should die with time. There are remote antennas that might fail like any computer, but it's not common

It has the akebono big brake kit. I have the original brakes available 3. It has the 20" wheels from the M56 sport with new-ish continental tires. I have the original wheels available as well 4.
