Can you update the interview regarding the 2014+ fiat diesels?

I received a diagnostic report and required to replace the intake manifold and swirl value for jeep grand cherokee 2008 eng: 3.0 liter diesel.I have two questions: 1. Does it require a calibration tool for the job 2. Does require to pull out the engine?
