2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Headlight Assembly & Fog Light Upgrade

Replacing the headlights and fog lights were a nice upgrade for our 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
In this video, I show how to
1. Remove Grill
2. Remove Bumper
3. Remove Headlight Assembly
4. Remove Fog Lights
5. Put it all back together

I was waiting for a warm day in North Carolina to replace my 08 headlights...thats this week but... I had watched several generic Cherokee videos and quickly realized there's big differences from earlier Cherokees to the 08. The 08 is about a hundred times more involved than even the 04 (which i also own.) Thanks a lot Jeep for making a simple replacement a major thing! Your video is great and should get me through it.

I think you are missing one thing that your video doesn't cover and that is how to adjust the headlights once you install a brighter set of lights. Other then that , you covered everything pretty well

It's easier to use rubbing compound and buff them

All you need to do is wet sand 600 grit and use y2k clear coat on head lights …BAM!! New again

Hey man, great video. I own a Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude. My fog light bulb won’t click in. A deer hit the side so now the light is just hanging. I tried to put in bk in the fog but it won’t click in place. What do you suggest at this point? Thx

I assumed everyone looking to upgrade headlights had the same "before" look. Glazed/white looking plastic that had spent 10 years in the sun. I don't think there was any way to buff them out.

Not to change the bulbs. If you want to replace the fog light assembly, you might be able to do it by splitting off the section of bumper with it still on the Jeep.

@@bbruce1978 to replace the fog light casing, you do NOT need to take the bumper off...the fog lights unscrew from The back and pop out the front. Takes 10-15 to do each one. Not even! 👍🏻👍🏻

It is! The Grand Cherokees with the Hemi engine have that big air intake under the grill. Looks weird to me compared to the regular bumpers.

@@gabrielcontreras51 Not the SRT. Just "Limited" with 5.7. I don't see too many like it. I don't like it because there is nothing protecting the lower half of the radiator.

Guys, I never disassembled the bumper my self and I want to install anti-fog lights. Is there wires with plugs or I have to buy separately?

I don't believe the wires are there on Jeeps that don't already have fog lights.
