2008 Kia Spectra Rear Door Handle Removal

I had a 2008 Kia Spectra rear door handle break on me during winter. In order to replace it I had to remove lots of things in the rear door in order to replace it.

Your video shed light on how to remove the bolt that holds the little piece of the handle. I was giving up already but moving the lock mechanism came in clutch, thank you!

My outer front driver door handle just did the same thing. I imagine getting to the front will be a similar process, but this should help me. Thanks for sharing!

Not that it matter 3 years later but the front is way easier cause you can get to that 2nd bolt by lowering the window 1”.

I have a 2008 kia i do ubereats and shitt like that the car is good interms of running but in terms of the car handles ive replaced 3 times the door handle allready and for some odd reason i cant open from the finside i have to roll down my window down and open it from outside all thd freaking time!!!! But still manage to ubereats

I had the same issue, I stopped buying interior door handle from Kia. I got a door handle which was meant for a Toyota and apparently it fits rather well and works just fine till date.

Your vid does not show in detail the removal of the rear door handle. Would have been better if you had started the video before commencing the work to show a more in depth removal job. Non the less its an ok video

It is a nightmare trust me. I am on replacing my 3rd outer door handle

I have a kia spectra 5 and 06 and three handles are black and the car is red lol. The cable snapped in the driver door and we just rigged that part to be able to open it but taking the panel off is a nightmare.

I've removed my driver door panel so many times, it's actually pretty easy now lol. But I've had to replace the outer handle once, and now again today, plus the inner door cable a month ago 🤦🏻‍♂️ oh well, the car is paid off anyway, so it's not too bad 🤷🏻‍♂️
