That looks like so much fun! One day I want to build one 👍🏼

They are fun, For your first, buy one and save a lot of expense and time.

@@dcoxryton buy the bike with no motor wouldn’t be the problem but everything else is expensive lol. The battery alone is $3500CAD. And the motor and controller is $1000CAD I believe. One day!

It works with the Votol controllers. It is the DN7 display. Here it is on Aliexpress www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805185654072.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.164.349e1802n5jODj&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

Hi Donald im about the enbark on a electric trail bike build here in Sydney Australia, i need to get the bike engineered to pass strict australian design rules if i wish to use it on the road here, have you worked with 90H QS138 supplier is stating same size yet 4kw vs 3kw rated compared to 70H ? thanks for the videos and tips, i intend on using a 260S
@dcoxryton9 ай бұрын
I haven't built with that motor, the 90H, but if you are going to use the EM260S controller, you will end with the same horsepower , being limited by 40-450A at 72V. The 70H motor is 1" narrower. The 90H mess's with the rear brake pedal. Have you motor mount water jetted by Lithium-King.com. Just give him a few measurements, and he can make them out of any material ( Aluminum, Stainless, Titanium etc. He only does it for the QS138 70H V3 motor

@dcoxryton thanks Donald so I stick with 70H from a width point. They state the 70H is rated 3kw, do you know what kW or hp you getting from this motor with 260s and 72v batteries, I plan on getting Kenny at amorge batteries to make my power pack
@dcoxryton9 ай бұрын
@@davecarter34 With the Em260S, you can pump 400A to either motor. 72V times 400A = 28.8KW or about 38.4 HP. You will need a battery to supply 400A for a while. What bike you put it in determines how much battery. A 20S16P battery will give you about 40 miles of single track. A 20S20P is 25% more. Amorge is a good place to get your battery.

how easy is it to convert a 2013 yz250f with one of these and how much is it? top speed? how long does battery last
@dcoxryton9 ай бұрын
The Motor and controller installation is pretty easy. The Battery space limits how big a battery you can put into it. The 2013 YZ250F was the last year of the early Aluminum frames. Space is limited to about 20S12P (50AH , good for about 25-30 mile of single track) The 2014 YZ250F opens up to a quick change battery, kind of like the Surron. A battery about the same size and range, it just can be swapped. There are some new batteries that can give you more range, but you lose on the Higher current and power, if that is what you want.

Top speed can vary, at the expense of low end power. 60-70MPH

Nice build. I don't remember if you used the same throttle system in your Yz's but I have used several Chinese ones finding this one you have on this ktm the smoothest, although bulkiest, of all of them. What do you think?
@dcoxryton9 ай бұрын
I don't use this throttle on the track bikes, because it is bulky, and we don't need the switches. But you are right this is a very smooth throttle. It works well for a street bike for all the controls.

I have not used a Fardriver. Don't know anything about them.
