We are consistently seeing over 1 more hp at peak than last year on stock ecu on new bike vs aftermarket ecu on old and 2 over last year when both on optimized ecus. Its a considerably better engine

Wonder if they fixed the issues that the pros were having the last year with Cooper Webb and everyone else. They did not do that well this last year
@HPRaceDevelopment
@HPRaceDevelopment 2 жыл бұрын
@@moto3463 which issues are those? For a retired guy - ol RD did damn good outdoors.... I don't think webb - on the previous model bike, would have challenge Eli or Anderson, or chase when he was on in SX last year. Webb had a lot going on outside of the race track and sometimes your on, sometimes your off - and in outdoors - no one had anything for eli or chase. The factory bikes have zero relevancy to consumers - like living on 2 different planets. The 250 program is interesting, as the complaint was the engine at the factory level. But the new motor is easily as capable as the old, I personally think they have some team inter working issues in testing and business structure with all training being in florida but all testing facility in california...makes it hard to develop.

If the cage bearing on the shock linkage is sticking or binding KTM should replace it free to the customer. That's a manufacturing defect and shouldn't be the customers responsibility to replace.

The spoke discussion is interesting to me because ive ran ktm's, suzuki's and kawasaki's, and have a buddy on a honda who's similar pace, we all have the same spoke issues, most brands run the same wheels with very minor differences, i actually just built a new wheel for my suzuki and everytime i come off track the spoke behind the rim lock is loose, if you just check that one spoke each time you come off track you wont have the rest back out, and from my experience that goes for all brands

Ktm shaves threads off the spokes to save weight so they come loose easier it has nothing to do with the wheels themselves

I have always been baffled by the ktm spoke complaints. Ktm recommends 5nm vs 3.5nm of Japanese brands. I always had more issues with other brands loosening even after breaking in.

@@pilsnerfamilymotorsports3275 huh I have rode ktm for 13 years and I never really had spoke problems until I got my 23 250sxf and I have to tighten the spokes every time I ride plus one of my spokes snapped at the nipple and it was torqued to 5nm

@@colbymullaney9908 dont take this the wrong way but... you got better, my brother and i have both been having spoke problems with damn near every bike we've had regardless of brand since we were on 65's, it seemed the moment we grew into a bike and got competitive for wins, BAM! spokes were coming loose, rims were flatspotting, and hubs started cracking, as far as i can tell, part failure generally fallows skill with some minor exceptions

Actually cracked triple clamps came strictly from over torqueing the stem clamp or better known as poor maintence
@morley3810
@morley3810 2 жыл бұрын
@@Ktm65xc101 fair statement, but hamfisted owners that perform poor maintenance own all different types of bikes, and you don't see the same problem occurring commonly on other brands. KTMs are like race horses. Fast and highly developed, but more difficult to keep healthy and easier to accidentally kill compared to the old trail horses.

I love the KTMs. But man, they gotta quit making them so tall. The majority of riders are 5”6/7/8/9. The seat height it too tall. I’m 5’8 and I can BARELY tip toe both sides, and I have a smaller seat on my bike. They need to do what they did to their Husky

@@Michael-lu2tz You should be able to flat foot a side and a foot comfortably on the peg. That’s how it should be. When I say tip toe. I mean I’m at that point where I’m stretching as hard as I can to reach the ground. But have no strength behind the tip toe
