2008 Lexus ES350 changing center console light bulb

Changing center console light bulb. Just remember to put parking brake on because u have to move shifter around to get the first piece out.

I just changed mine on a 2010 Lexus ES350. Same instructions. It was pretty easy with your instructions. Hardest part was finding the bulb which is a #73 at the auto parts store. A repair place wanted $200. Ripoff. Thanks for the help! Saved me money.

I was able to get the light working again without opening anything. by taping the area around the light. This may work for some others

Thank you. I wanted to see how you unclip those covers, as the transparent plastic cover has a hard-to-remove clip at the top-left portion. Guys, take your time to un-clip that one. Clips are easily get broken after 10 years of use, even with a Lexus car.

I did this with mine it works just fine replaced it with a blue led from superbrightleds

went through Lexus manual quickly but couldnt find the led type. How do I know which led it is? And if you got a trick to know all the types of leds for the interior thatd be helpful!!!

This is good video on how to remove the console cover but, in my case, I need to replace the gear shifter cable linkage bushing. I was hoping to see where the shifter cable linkage is located in this video but it did not show, unfortunately. But thanks anyway.

Do the black panels on either side of the Center console pop off the same way? I am trying to replace an Aux port on an 08 ES and there are no videos! Thanks

That is the cover for a emergency shifter release. If you battery goes dead and you need to put the car in neutral, there is a button under the cover you can push to release the shifter. Thanks for watching

The front 3 spark plugs are ez. Just take off the plastic cover and remove the coils. The rear one you have to remove the intake mainfold to do them, very hard to do!
