Those 4.6l are bulletproof with just regular oil changes! Too bad you don't live near me, I'd have you lift mine since you're experienced! Lol. That's how I found your channel, searching lifts for the ford explorer. Sometimes it's just easier to pay someone! Lol. I'm probably not going to go that big just a 2 inch and slightly bigger tire with some black steelies. You did good buds, looks great!💪💯🇺🇸

Thanks, they are really the turn radius is on a dime doesn't weigh to much with the wider tires nd spacers almost perfect for the sand but I am losing cv boots even though I can't rule out my neighbor cutting them considering he has punctured tires on other trucks cut trailer lights off my truck that was connected to my trailer and I'm 99% sure there is something in my fuel tank. so right now feels like I'm driving on rectangled tires or unbalanced drive line and it runs lean at the top of the gears causing misfires it still runs though :) 2900 miles or 128 hours without a fix I'm put up video of the carnage and how it happened soon thanks for watching:)

Where do I find lifted front struts? I have an 09 and want to do both control arms and struts at same time.

Rancho and other make struts for the explorer but I just used all stock struts only because with or without them you are going to be limited by the travel even with the btf fabrication uppers on the front I been debating on chopping the towers and relocating uppers and struts but it's hard to find time theses days with work and family

Sway bar links taking a sht so I just used the ones from the back on the front and they should be rubber so they make less noise other than that it drives as good as it did new you will probably want to disable the rsc because it won't exit or enter the off ramps over 35 if not rsc won't let it also the stock cv axles seem a little short on the front so I bought the longest ones I could find and no issues yet good luck with the build you should be happy with it its a daily driver still today 🤙

@@SuPerPiTs could you elaborate on the RSC? Why would it not allow you to accelerate?

@@Bowdinky itthe RSC or roll stability control will sense the lean and and not let you pedal the throttle until you are out of the lean and level around 30mph usually is when it would apply itself. I have another video shows how to permanently disable it. You will not have traction control awd and rsc if you do it but 4 high and 4 low still works as normal

I have the same 2007 truck, I installed a 32" 15R BGfoo but the suspension stuck very close and touches the spring. I only put 3inc increases on the shock absorber...

At 6:40 your tie rod nut is backed off. Need to tighten it up so the inner and outer don't come loose and throw the alignment off

Yeah I put it together for video wasn't to far from the house alignment and some under coat is getting done atm i was wondering if someone caught that :)

Thanks tires on it are M/T thunderer they are loud and super soft not the best street tire but they look good I put radar renegades on it this year 35/12.50 /20 and they are a much better tire for suv they are so thick there's basically no roll around corners and they kind of look like swampers on tread side.

Have you looked into trakmotive extended travel cv axles. I picked up a set on Rockauto and they are ultra beefy

Ok that's cool I'm check them out I did find a longer set but not as beefy need something that can stretch more than 28"that's what I need or anyone who lifts one these this tall but they are only longer by an inch thanks for the info:)

Would the control arms clear a 4 inch lift?

The control arms may clear but the cv axles and more won't be long enough and the rear cv axle goes through the frame that could be an issue as well the 3" lift with @ 1" body lift would be a more reliable lift

They was worth the wait drives like a factory ride on the road now and it can actually be aligned with them. if you don't wanna keep replacing tires and uca's get them for sure

The cv axles wouldn't drop out enough if you could find longer cv axles possibly but then you would have another control arm and alignment issues I'm having troubles atm with taking out the boots on the front Rancho does make a coil over that fits and adds height also but I haven't used them because I can't find a longer cv axle then stock. Lmk if you find them :)

Jeez where you get those spacers..? I have 3" front and 2" rear I only put in the front took it the rear because it's leveled I can't stand that look I love when it's more lifted up front...If I can get those spacers u have I can put in the rear, Those look like 4-5"..
