I just did this job today. Though on an 2013 MKZ. Started from the top and ended up from the bottom. Evacuated the Freon system and removed the AC compressor from below. Very straight forward beyond getting the right tool into the tight spaces. On the MKZ you ought to remove the Oil Filter (minimal oil spillage results) in order to easily remove the Alternator and AC Compressor from below. Removing the Stud for the bottom of the AC Compressor can be achieved with vice grips, inch-by-inch but it's doable. Clean the threads up once removed with a wire brush or wire wheel and lube with oil for reinstall. Easy. Took me 3-4 hours today. Replaced the tensioner at the same time. Honestly, hardest part was the bolt on the top of the tensioner! Tight spaces suck! Your video helped tremendously. Thanks!

@wedoitall7676 I want to change the belt also would it be as simple as putting it on while changing the alternator or would i need to take off more stuff to get the belt on?

Put it on with the alternator replacement. No need to remove anything else

Didn't have to bleed the radiator. Minimal antifreeze was lost during replacement
