Hey there I have a problem with a 2014 Volkswagen Golf tdi I changed the fuel filter and I primed the aux pump and the pump in the tank using the maxisys pro but fuel won't come out the hpfp it won't come out to go to the injectors the car only has very low miles under 7,000 do you know if there is a certain way to prime the hpfp or anything else you may know

what did you torque the intake to block bolts to?

I just learned why the bumper supports are that length, "put it in service mode". 06, 2.5

Thanks for uploading! I was gonna ask if the a/c & alternator can be dropped down to get at the thermostat (with the intake in place)... but it doesn't look like that is a possibility. Man there are so many things that I have not yet had to do on cars. All the worst stuff will show up on the same day... hopefully not for another few years. LOL.

Hi you know what I did and other one yesterday and I did it with out removing the intake I still removed the front clip but this time I removed the radiator support but I left the a/c condenser and rad in to place and there is a power steering cooler pipe bolted on the rad support you just unbolt it on both side and just slip it under the rad and A/C system it worked real nice the rad was supported by the aluminum skid plate this car was a convertible but on a regular beetle you would prob. Need to support it so it doesn't hang too much on the hoses and fan wiring. I have a video on it I haven't posted it yet.

yes you can drop the a/c and the alternator. much easier than doing this tear down.

Hey I noticed when you had the engine apart I didn't see the Knock Sensor's on the engine block behind the intake as people have been tell me that is where they are. Can you supply a video or a picture where they are located, I keep getting the error code P0327 Knock sensor

Tim D Stevens hi both knock sensor are located on the exhaust side of the engine this why you did not see it you can see them from under the car both connectors are located on the end of the cylinder head near the oil filler cap if I remember right one is green and the other is gray.

Do you have a picture where they are located...? a video , NO one has any knock sensor replacement videos, I have been looking for days for just a video even looking at this Bentley Book is useless, it says G61 and G66 but it doesn't say where they go or where they are located, 2009 VW Rabbit 2.5L 5 cyl engine.

How easy is it to get that off and what socket or torx is needed to remove the knock sensor bolts...?

Tim D Stevens they are not very hard to replace if I remember right it’s one m8 bolt per sensor with a 13 MM head on it I think that I saw a technical bulletin and they recommended replacing both of them and they need to be torque to between 15 to 18 lbs it’s very important.

Rithius3485 hi if you are talking a US or Canadian specs car the i suggest to buy one that had the TDI emissions recall done because if you buy one with fault code and the recall not done you have to pay for all the problems before the emissions recall as far as the engine they seem to be very good but the maintenance has to be followed precisely concerning the proper oil specs and fuel filter replacements one more thing you have to make absolutely make sure that no gasoline is ever put into the fuel tank because the common rail fuel pump will be damage and all metal From the pump will contaminate the rest of the fuel system causing very expensive repair.

wrath letherride sorry but they are not that hard to remove just use a long extension with a ratchet if I remember there is only 2 of them.

Take the engine strut rod out on the bottom rear of the engine. Then you can rock the engine back and pull the intake out.
