Thanks for this test drive. I like the Vel Satis a lot. I test drove several of them myself but never with manual transmission. I must say, the 3.5 V6 I liked the most. These engines are super smooth, reliable and fast on the highway. How do you like this manual transmission? In my opinion Renault manuals always feel a bit rubbery and sticky. I also heard these 6 speeds manuals do have some problems with the gearboxes. They wear out rather fast.

@@anfahrt hey there my friend thank you for the comment. I also think the 3.5 is the nicest engine option but the 2.0 dci 173 hp was also great felt very powerful tbh for the power/weight ratio. About the manual transmission i recommend watching my review i linked it in the end screen of this video where i talk about the transmission issue. Spoiler: i prefer the automatic haha. Nevertheless i never had any major issue with a renault. The gearbox works well so maybe some people just talk badly bc it‘s a french car. Cheers🤙🙏

@@ViveLaCoupe Thanks for the links. Yes you are right. There are a lot of people who talk bad about French cars just because they're French. The truth is, German cars are not better than French cars and often have a lot of technical problems which are very expensive to repair.

@@anfahrt you know i am not a blind sheep, ofc french cars have their problems just like every other car. But i‘d rather have some problem with electronics than an engine that needs 2L oil per 1000km. I won‘t say more haha ;)
