2008 Shelby GT500 AMSOIL Differential Fluid Change #70

Back with Adrian and his beautiful 2008 Shelby GT500 Mustang changing the rear differential fluid for the first time using AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-140 100% synthetic gear oil.
This lubricant is the gear oil Al Amatuzio the creator of AMSOIL pioneered with Bobby Unser (12 time Pikes Peak champion) at Pikes Peak back in the late 1960s

Yeah it's amazing how nice that color combo is! I find the Shelby's to be a lot better than any of the other Mustangs to me it's almost like it's not even a Mustang

Always take the fill plug out before you take the fluid out. If you cannot get the plug of you will be calling a tow truck

I changed out the div fluids are my F150 and Mustang GT ... Big difference between the old ford stuff and the Amsoil .... Runs cooler and I have more confidence when driving at speed

Hey Eban, Sorry, but Amsoil already assigned someone .. As a member, I simply buy enough products (s) to have a free membership and always plan on purchasing enough for free shipping ... getting the 350 fully flushed, including brake fluid. Love your videos and I used to live in Northern Ontario Canada and it would get down to -40 and with the windchill - 60. That would be the test ... had to keep the car plugged in to warm up the engine block and or radiator ... @@Syntheticoilprotection

it's surprising there is that much surface rust undere there. I'd spray it with Krown T40, Fluid Film, Rustcheck until i did something about it or just leave it.

Ironically that is where Al Amatuzio got the idea, he was an Air Force fighter pilot and mixed in one quart of his jets synthetic oil into his card engine oil and it started right up, even in the cold Wisconsin winters, and the rest is history.

When Mr Amatuzio was still alive they sold a DVD documentary about his life and how he developed his synthetic oil and towards the end of his Air Force career he started asking his crew chief about the fluids they used for the jet engines. Eventually he "acquired" a quart and tried in in his personal car at an oil change. Which led to his developing his PAO esters , which is what the jet engines use, into an automotive oil throughout the sixties.
