@@iansalois1839 you'll be alright, i have 215k on my 08 Camry SE and i just do the oil changes at 3k or 5k (ill add oil) the oil consumption is true but i just passed emissions so my catalytic coverter hasnt gone out. Rest your mind because the 4 cylinder version has a timing chain so you really dont need to change that. Ive had problems as far as wear and tear like worn out spark plugs and usual maintenance stuff but for the first two years i owned it, no problems. i still feel like it runs good. plus even this generation (which is called the worst generation) is still miles better than other cars. 215K miles on my 2008 Camry SE and man i love the way it looks with the trunk spoiler and front fog light lip, it has had cosmetic issues but otherwise reliable, had to get a new ac compressor but thats the most major thing ive had to do. As you may know, some LED lights for vehicles are polarity sensitive depending on which light you are replacing. In this case, the low beam bulbs for my 2008 Toyota Camry. The lights work fine when plugged in the correct way but unfortunately due to the design of the plug on the standard H11 light when plugged in to the vehicle connector so the lights work the connector does not lock in place. The plug on the standard H11 light is oval-shaped. On one side of the oval, the lock tab is located right at the very end of the connector. On the other side there is an identical tab that is located farther down the connect from the end. The farther one locks properly but when plugged in this way the lights don’t work. If the tabs on both sides in the same position, the position farther from the end, there wouldn’t be a problem. After consulting KASLIGHT customers' service, i bought a pair H11 led headlight bulbs specially designed for 08-18 Toyota Camry, link is www.amazon.com/dp/B07D6JKFQQ, problem is perfectly solved. any one who suffered from same problem with me can take for reference

My friend has a 2003 Toyota Camry, and it has YET to be in the shop. It still drives and runs like brand new. And the V-6 24 valve he has, still runs perfect. It still turns on a dime, and accelerates nicely. I assume the aluminum block is the reason the engine is still running smoothly. The quality is excellent. There is no rust on this car either. I have noticed the toyotas have clearer & better paint. That does not fade or scratch.

@TheVideo5094 The 'fun to drive' thing probably does exist, but only for the professional drivers. Suspension, Engine power, steering and weight distribution all are factors in driver experiences. For instance, it's more fun to drive, say, a Porsche, than a Corolla, because the Porsche is more powerful, has sportier suspension, and the chassis is lower. I think the Camry is a pretty good car, but I believe too many people are underestimating Hyundai.

The Camry, even in the base model, is extremely high quality and pure luxury. The Honda Accord, also a great car, would be my second choice...only because of its past being plagued with automatic transmission problems. The Ford Fusion, forget about that junk. im at 215k and it does burn oil but id say just to move up to 5w20 if you have a 4 cyclinder instead of the recommended 0w20. otherwise i would say to just watch the oil levels and add some when it needs it. Oil consumption is bad on mine id say i lose about 2-3 quarts every 5k oil change but like i said just add oil every other biweek. Ive done so and its never given me issues, plus i just passed emissions so the catalytic hasnt gone out. Youll be fine my guy. a couple buck on extra quart of oil sounds bad but not really considering gas prices are down. id still buy another camry if it had lower miles just at the right price.

@NilesMaelstrom There are some Honda models that have more parts made in America than some of companies from Detroit. You do know that Honda and Toyota have many companies, assembly lines, factories, parts factories, stores, etc in the United States that hire Americans and pay taxes. In the meantime, GM is there taking our tax money for the failed business model. I'd personally go for a Ford Fusion over a Camry, but I'm tired of people saying it's an American duty to buy 'American Cars.'

The truth is the Fusion is every bit as good, if not better than the Camry or Accord. The Camry is getting so big, it feels uncomfortable when manuvering through traffic.
