2009-2013 F-150 No Radio Power (Aftermarket)

2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 Ford F150 F250 F350 F450 F550 fix for no power to aftermarket radio. White accessory wire over brake pedal was the answer. I meant don't go checking the the rest of the fuses other than 9, 29, and 38. I checked every fuse in the truck trying to figure out why it wasn't getting power, but found a different fix. I recommend cutting the white wire and splicing it to a joining wire to the red aftermarket stereo power wire.

Thanks for troubleshooting this. Since the red accessory wire which came with the aftermarket harness doesn’t work I had to splice it in elsewhere. Doing so is constantly draining my battery even when everything is off. So now I’ll be looking for the whit wire next to the big fucking red one.

The unused connector is the CANBUS wiring used by the stock radio for a variety of controls / displays that the aftermarket radio does not use.

On the 12th GEN F150 you have to have a smart harness so you can retain the 12 V ignition power so the new aftermarket radio can turn on

I'm sure there's another way, but this got me by.
