I have the same BMW X6 X Drive 35i , model 2008. But a problem that I didn’t know which oil number may i used for it? It’s good to use oil number 10w-40? Or to use 10w-30? Please if you help me for this problem report me in a comment. Thank you for your video.

You dont need to jack the car up on ramps, i just did the x5 only one 17mm drain bolt on bottom u can get under to loosen it no prob

Where did you find that brand oil filter and the oil filter socket?

You can get that brand oil filter from ebay, amazon or other online auto parts shop. Oil Filter Wrench 86mm Tool 16 Flute works for BMW E90 06 E91 E92 535i 335i 330i, but it also works for E71!

Before you put the filter you need to put some oil in?

No, Workshop manual don't mention that and the filter housing actually can't hold any oil, prime new oil filter may works with spin on type.
