If Richie got by Barnes in that match, there is no doubt in my mind he wins that major. Wolfe is just a raw talent. Smoothest player I have ever seen also along with being the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He put out some videos years ago when he was at Annandale (Va) lanes that went through basics. I still watch those videos every year.

Pre resin his release was really unbelievable. For awhile after resin, he really flattened out his release, on this telecast he appeared to bring some of his old power back. But just some.

Love it when Randy makes his predictions. Title match. “200 will not win this match.” Guess he was right. It was only one ninety something. His was implication was that it would take more. Not the first time his prediction was slightly off. Oh well! Happy, happy for the winner. Seems like a really decent human being. Go Scroggie! You rock!

Richard Wolfe simply throws a bowling ball the way it should be thrown. Seems most every bowler even at the highest levels stops to watch that swing and release.

They really screwed up at the end of the Barnes and Wolf match when they put up on the screen what Barnes needed to have to win...Before he left 6 in the 10th frame they said he need 8 pins to shut Wolf out...then when Barnes went for the spare they flashed up he needed a spare and 6 pins to shut out..LOL Nice one! :p

Being exempt means you can skip the Tour Qualifying Round, or TQR. When you join the PBA tour you can usually only bowl certain events, and you have to make it through the grueling TQR to actually make it to the event's roster. Exempt players get to skip the TQR and go straight to to the event's qualifying rounds, and they can usually bowl any event the want except for certain invitational events. The most common way to earn an exemption is winning a title or finishing high enough on the points list from the previous season.
