I still marvel at his release. Still the most powerful single handed release the tour has ever seen. But if Rob hard learned to occasionally turn the horsepower down just a bit he would have won more tournaments, no doubt about it.

I'm not a two handed hater either, but when people say Belmo or Jesper has the strongest ball ever, I tell them to go watch clips of Smith. They couldn't touch him in his prime. He was called Maximum Bob for a reason. The speed and revs he could put on a ball was absurd. It's a shame he was plagued by back issues.

There’s like a gap between Pit Curtain and Pit Cushion cause the Pit Curtain is removable on a Brunswick A2 Pinsetter. Not sure if you understand what I’m saying cause I’m one of those small number of Bowlers who were Pinsetter Nerds and I know majority of Bowlers have Zero knowledge about Pinsetters.

Robert was just waaaaay too desperate for strikes. He let too much of his emotions get out of him which hindered his timing. His shot in the 10th is clear indication of that. He was already locked in on that lane but ended up pulling it. Too bad really coz I think he may have calmed down as the rounds progressed.
