Thank you so much, my starter is not turning at all, I cleaned all the connections from the battery to the starter, and nothing, I watched this video and first swapped the relays and nothing, then I tried the paperclip trick, the starter turn but the engine don't crank. do you think that one of the connectors is still deeply rusted, do I need to cut them off and make a new connection?

I did try jumping it with a paper clip and it cranked the starter however when I go in to start it with the key it will not start i’m getting power to everything help if you can

Thanks for the tip. After doing what you said we discovered a loose cable in one of the packages of cables going to the fuse box from the engine side, just move it a few inches closer to the box and the car started, at some point I will need to open the cable thing and find the once semi broken

So a 2008 cobalt. Car started no problem. Sat for 2 weeks. Now it has no crank no start. Checked all fuses. Jumped the starter switch pin on starter. Engine started n run for a few seconds. Fuel pressure was only about 25-30psi. Don’t think it’s getting 2sec prime. By passing relay. Engages. Tried both keys and remote start. Nothing. No data communications. Not sure gauges are functioning. Found a mouse in trunk but only eating insulation. No wire damage. Car is from NC so no rust or corrosion issues. Engine light stays illuminated. Security Lock 🔒 light turns off.

My key not turning the engine but as you said in the video the mechanic stuck the wire in the fuse location and told me the car would start and he also crank up from the starter on the engine but we cant get the key to turn with the engine

Hey, I got a 2008 Chevy cobalt 4 door I'm having a problem with my Ignition. I turn my key and the key does not want to send a code to my starter. Could it be my views are? Is it inside the car that I would check cause? I changed the starter it doesn't seem to be the starter. It seems to be something other. I'm gonna click in noise. Don't beside me and am at my other fuse panel inside the car. So please let me know what I should be checking.

I have an 07 cobalt ss an i just replaced the battery an the relays. It does click when I put the key in an turn but shows up the anti theft not sure what too do next?

What's happens if you bridge it and it still doesn't do anything but the crank relay makes the starter click and that's it

If the starter clicks but doesn't turn the engine over you may have a weak battery, a failing starter or a seized engine. If the battery tests good you can try tapping on the starter itself while an assistant attempts to start the car

But that is all it does it doesn't even turn over or anything but fuses are good everything works inside the car just don't get it my battery was around 12.4 volts o'Reilly said starter was good I left it sit for 2 days and after that like 2 weeks ago nothing it's a 2007 Chevy colbalt even bought a new starter switch sensor so I'm lost all my grounds are good so please help me out???
