Is this the cause when I start my truck it grinds on start up?

No rattling. Vehicle just wasn't starting.

I’m about to do mine thanks to breaking the copper stud off whilst changing the positive battery cable. Also terminating resistor. (StabiliTrak - ABS - traction control lights all on) no codes. I have the same plastic clip on my 09 Tahoe.

Umm… you HAVE two threaded bolts on there…. Soooo whats the issue?

One of the wires going to the starter connected to a threaded bolt with a nut, and the other wire going to the starter connected with a plastic clip. Most of the other videos I watched showed both wires connecting with threaded bolts and nuts.

It might be the wrong starter. Sometimes you take the old one off first..have it tested for free at any auto parts store..and you also can match up the right starter when you buy it...!!! YW

@@claudsjr you were saying in your video that they were different. So I thought I'd add that most times people bring the old starter with them..get it matched up..and then return the old one right away for the core charge that they charged you when you buy one. I will erase the uhhh's so as to make my comment nicer..it just sucks that you'll watch a video to see what all is entailed for that particular vehicle to remove the starter and the person is guessing instead of actually doing the job first and then making a video. Good job tho for the novice that you are. At least you saved money and that is cool and really all that matters..!! (In my opinion)

Goodyear just told me the starter was $800 plus labor. Found the cheapest one on Amazon for $60. I'm still gonna get a more expensive one but They be on some highway robbery type shit. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😡
