Thanks for the video Kyle. The 599 is my favorite front-engine Ferrari. I'm not feeling the chrome wheels on this one though. I've never understood why Ferrari couldn't manage better highway fuel economy with these things. Look at the gas mileage of a high-output American engine of similar or greater displacement. It's not even close.

Displacement is measured by the bore and stroke of the cylinders, to get an exact measurement would require extreamly specific measurements that is just unnecessary and probably not optimal for the engine. The fact that they got it within 1cc is pretty good. And BTW i'm american and I understand measurements, although I don't like CC or Litres, I prefer cubic inches

I've now found out that they reason is most likely for tax purposes. A displacement of 6.1 litres would mean the car will be taxed as 7 litres (more expensive) while 5.999 means it will be taxed as 6 litres.
