2009 Hangtown Lucas Oil 450cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship (Round 2 of 12)

This is round 2 of the 2009 Lucas Oil 450cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship from Prairie City SVRA Park in Sacramento, CA.
Returning contenders like 450cc rookies Ryan Villopoto and Josh Grant, Tim Ferry, Ivan Tedesco, Andrew Short, 450cc sophomore Josh Hill, Mike Alessi, Michael Byrne, Davi Millsaps, 2009 Supercross runner-up Chad Reed, and others battle it out for the 2009 Lucas Oil 450cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Supercross runner-up Chad Reed makes a last-minute decision to compete in the Motocross series for the first time since 2006. 450cc rookie Ryan Villopoto drops out of the season due to a knee injury prepping for this race, which RV2 says that the knee injury is from when he was on 80s, and gives Team Suzuki's Mike Alessi control of the points lead.

You're welcome. I have to admit I'm in the same boat when it comes to races between '97 and 2001 since '97 was my first year following the sport.

Wow did not realize Villo would have won this championship if he didn’t get hurt

He may very well have won this title, but you have to be in it to win it. Villopoto did have the credentials with 3 titles in the 250 class, but Mike Alessi may very well have been his closest competition, as well as Chad Reed. Unfortunately, an old knee injury ended his season here.

Why did David Bailey drop out in 2009 announcing??

David Bailey was there all throughout the 2009 MX season announcing (save for Lakewood when Jeff Emig stepped in). Why he dropped out? I don't know, but I liked his analyses, plus growing up hearing the man, you're likely to pick up a few things in your line of thinking (like myself).

MathewV21688 David and Art Eckman were the best. Shaheen and Emig are terrible. Also thanks for the upload

@@troyhubbard50 No disagreements on David and Art being the best, but I definitely liked Ralph and Jeff -- especially Emig with his psychological perspective, and he knew what he was talking about.
