Tonight my wife bought me a Vespa 150cc LX ie for Fathers day. Nice to see how they're made.

To bad that they still haven’t sorted out the chassis frame on these GTS’s as they rot behind the front wheel after about 3 years!

That's been overstated aa a general issue and seems to be more common occurence in countries like UK and those where salt is used on roads during winter time. I still ride my GT 200 from 2004 and not a speck of rust or corrosion. Kept in carport and outside mostly.

0:38 just like the new honda smalls scooter. But wait, is that vespa already use that kind of frame since et4? And honda just used it today.. hmmm

Nope, Vespa used this method from their early days, borrowing it from the airplane fuselage welding method they used to make before and during WWII.

The newer model are made out of plastic especially front
@drazenbabich3 жыл бұрын
No they're not. Still steel chassis just like in this video. Front leg guard included. Front fender and glove box are made of plastic but that has been the case since late 90es. Check your facts before you post.

Too shitty, the rear brakes and horns are too weak, even an activa is far better and reliable choice.

Stick to your Activa. Vespa obviously isn't for you. ;)
