For vehicles under Hyundai WARRANTY please read:
If you are still under warranty use the Hyundai SPIII OEM transmission fluid as
not to void the warranty if they try to use it against you. As for the Dexron 3 Supertech another user made a note this fluid is not acceptable. Upon further research I decided to purchase Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle ATF as on the back of the bottle it supports All imports with the Diamond spIII specification. Even though I ran supertech from 45,000 klm to 103,000 klm without problems I flushed it out with the Diamond III specification. So there you go. Go OEM if under warranty, or you can buy the Castrol Import MultiVehile ATF LTA Diamond SPIII compatible ATF fluid.
This is Part 2 of 2 of 2009 Hyundai Accent Automatic Transmission service. This video covers flushing the torque converter and cooler system. This will replace %99 percent of the old transmission fluid with new fresh red transmission fluid. I suggest you flush your transmission every 48,000klm and replace the metal filter in the pan as well. These videos will save the average user a ton of money and keep your transmission healthy. A neglected transmission will eventually fail costing your thousands to repair. Enjoy!
The flush kit adapter used in these videos is in my custom tools section on my site.

I have a 2013 accent and have 30,000 miles (48,000 kl). my transmission is sealed, doesn't even have a dipstick to check fluid level (or color). manufacture recommends trans service at 60,000 miles. I have never let one go that long. you vid was well done. only recommend - I would use a higher quality fluid.

onenikkione 2010 3 door manual transmissions have this same problem as well. You will have to let the shop do it. They use a special machine to pump the fluid in either through the cooler lines or through the drain plug. They do this because it's all about money. They do not want you to do any work on your car. It makes me sick to think about it. Bunch of crooks.

You'll avoid the extra aggravation if you just lay the battery on the floor and work with jumper cables😩

Leatherkid01 yep from Ontario. My job is a commercial truck driver so i purchase my stuff from usa. I get my purlator filters from Walmart as well the the washers from Hyundai Cambridge. They will hand you a couple and usually don't charge you. I use that dealer to order parts. Very nice staff there. The one at upper James are pricks.

after fluid runs clear shouldn"t the last run then be done while hand shifting through the gears to get all crud out ?

Thank you for the excellent video. Can the adapter be replaced by 3/8 x 3/8 instead of 3/8 x 1/4? Is there any particular reason why we should pass from 3/8 to 1/4? I checked two Canadian Tire stores for the parts for this adapter, they didn't have them. I found a hose 3/8 I.D. and also a connecting adapter. Can I use this option? Thanks.

Dimitar Tyutyundzhiev in my customs tools section I talk about this. The end has to be 3/8. The reason I used 1/4 is because of the fish tank hose I had left over in the garage. The drain part that goes to the can be any size you want. Hope this helps.

Hello. You tell me please when the hose is removed from the gearbox to drain the oil, put the plug in? From there, who removed the hose?

Its shown in the videos. There is more than 1 part to rhis series.... simple design. The cooler hosw come out the top of trany goes to bottom of rad and back up to the IN port marked in all aluminum top of the trany. The IN goes to bucket to flush.

( 2007 Hyundai Elantra A4CF1/2 ) Hello sir.. I am desperate for some help: do you know the position of the checkballs for rebuild.. 1 with spring and 1 just the ball.. I cannot find any information that shows this 'clearly'. I have the Hyundai factory manual but it is an exploded view from an above angle which is very poorly illustrated! Any ideas bro ?? Many thanks either way - Eddie

Head over to hyundai forums and ask. There are service techs who will help you. I looked in hma service manual and looked for the balls in the plate that the filter ataches. The diagram is very detailed. There is a tear down hyundai transmission video on youtube that might help. Very detailed video. Search for it here. If all else fails click on about under my banner and select business inquiries..... and send me your email and ill send you detailed transmission tear down diagrams.

Can we connect our pipe to the cooler out ?
@gereral1_jackofalltrades
@gereral1_jackofalltrades 9 жыл бұрын
PC KUCHING Yes but you risk damaging the cooler connection. It gets pretty rusty down there by the cooler and if it snaps your looking at a new 400+ dollar radiator. Better to do it my way to prevent damage down below. The clamps and hose is protected form the weather at the top of the transmission cooler lines than at the bottom. I'm sure you've already looked down at the bottom....

joko stoko its located in your owners manual. If you are not sure call the closest hyundai dealer to get transmission fluid spec. Once you know it you can buy aftermarket tran oil to save money.

all he had to do is disconect the hose on the trans cooler behind the radiator instead of taking the battery out much easer and you get the same result

kevin morneault True but did you TAKE A LOOK at the RUSTED clamp on the cooler. If you broke that while removing the cooler line add 400-500 bucks for a new rad! You can do what you like but its SAFER to do it the way I show in the video.

run propane around the manifold area and see if engine idle changes. Do this when engine is cold as heat causes expansion and will seal a gap in the manifold if its a hairline crack or bad manifold gasket. You must have a lot of money replacing all the sensors. Its frustrating when new parts don't solve the problem. the propane will allow extra fuel to be sucked into any leak spots changing the engine idle. if nothing happens you can rule out the intake manifold gasket or cracks in the manifold itself. Cheap test.

one more thing to add. A small vacuum leak in the hoses and brake booster can cause a loss of engine power. This may only happen if the leak is very small so you do not notice it but will show itself at a certain engine speed or at different temperatures. To test same test applies. Run propane around the hoses from the throttle body to the brake booster. Listen for a change in idle to find the tiny vacuum leak. Good luck.....
