I just bought 1 of these, I'm in Canada so it's 152000km, which would be somewhere around 90-95k miles...just have to say I'm SO IN LOVE with it. I'm also 6'4", and I can see how the hood view would be a con for shorter people. But for taller people like myself, the hood curves truly fit the sporty feel of this car...reminds me alot of driving a C3 corvette or older model 911. And yes, the ride isn't 'luxurious' like a Lexus or Benz midsized suv...but it's not supposed to be. You buy this car because you want the utility it brings with the high clearance, it has a hatch, and the AWD rips through snow when you need it. And while doing that, it handles, drives and sounds like a sports sedan, and looks absolutely gorgeous.

@@BallazErving it's at 165k now. Had a rough idle about 6months back, turned out to be a bad valve timing solenoid. The part was about $300, got em both replaced (there's 1 for each cylinder bank). Cost about $700 with parts and labour. Other than that, haven't had any other issues.

+mikexcanxjerk it is quick like 370z. goes 0to 60 on 5.8 seconds. when i sat on driver's seat of fx , i didnt feel like I'm sitting in suv. feels like a sports car cabin. best steering feel i ever had in a car. turning radius is very small for suv (same turning radius as honda civic).

I dont know if cold air intake will make time difference. i am pretty sure it wont. Which Audi crossover are you comparing it to? High end audi crossover sq5 with supercharged v6 only makes 345 horsepowers. Fx35 has naturally inspired v6 which makes 325 horsepower. I havent driven audi sq5 but you can go test drive it and see if you like it. Personally i would never buy an audi as they are designed to last for 50k miles only.

We agree the exterior styling is quite unique and not in a good way for some people, the next generation model should follow the styling direction of the JX, that is a more appealing vehicle in our eyes. But thank your for the support! We will do our best to try and maintain that status!

I have a 2008 FX45....picked it up 10 days ago. Just got home from 2000 miles round trip.....Florida to Delaware then Virginia mountains. On freeway or curvy pass it was great handling....plenty of power and overall 20.02 mpg My 2nd tank they were out of 93 so I got 89...mpg went up. Used that the rest of the trip...93 to fill up just before home...mpg down to 20 mpg from 21.7. The data says it likes the 89 more...peculiar result?

i really do love the 2Nd gen FX's,the interior is a welcome improvement over the 1St gen looks arent for everybody but i love that agressive look...my main complaint with these is the overall lack of space compared to the competition,especially cargo and backseat,handling is great but the ride on most any road can get pretty harsh,i will also note the 2011 i drove did feel slightly diffrent than an 06...steering felt lighter.

We have a 2005 FX , we have had it since it was new and it has 135,000 miles on it, and it has had no mechanical problems at all , not one , so if you want a reliable car , the FX is the way to go compared to the X6 , if you want more drastic styling and a slightly more modern car , go X6 , I personally like this car more , but I may just be biased lol

I just got one with 88k! It is definitely a looker, and it is rare. The exhaust sounds amazing, it is VERY QUICK, and it is fantastic fun when driving in corners. It is for sure faster and more nimble than my 2008 Lexus ES350 which was quick to begin with. I am surprised with this car, it does not feel anything like a Nissan product (in the best ways possible). The 7 speed is so much more reliable than the CVTs, and the car is just so nimble compared to (at least) my dad's Nissan Rogue.

@@LastCallSRT It is a 2009 and I got it for 14.5k, one of the lowest mileage FX in my area! 🙏 If you get it, enjoy it!! They're pretty rare compared to the competition. They're a blast to own! Keep in mind, 21 gallons of premium fuel. I can get away with regular in my Lexus RX350, the Infiniti doesn't like anything less than 91 in my experience. I also get around 300 miles per tank average 😊

I just bought one , It drives like e70 x5 has that German feel in it , build quelite is típico Japanese car . Be careful with radiator , mine is 93000km , radiator blew out , white smoke ( vapor ) coming out of hood . They offered me 5 years warranty for 500 usd , hahaha , they have huge confidence on their quality . When I arrive the dealer . Mecanic told me they rarely have Infiniti in shop for repare that’s why they offer me 5 years warranty for 500 usd

@@MrKidfresh11208 The previous owners took really good care of it. All the maintenance records were on Carfax. It has 128000 miles on it. It's a 2007. Other than maintenance nothing has needed replacement. I assume now that it's getting older things will start to break. I had it looked at by my mechanic and the only thing wrong with it was the exhaust gasket at the rear is failing. To fix it will cost $100. Make sure the car your looking at has perfect maintenance records. I used Carfax. It was worth the $35 spent. Good luck 👍.

So I ended up buying the stick on kind off eBay the ones I got are kind of triangular shape the upper part is rounded and I put them on the inside corners of my mirrors and I drive in Kansas City and to me they're worth a million dollars!

This is my mommy car/ daily driver because I couldn't handle a van or whatever. Anyhow I love my FX35. looks nice, handles nice, drives nice, sounds great, looks aggressive for crossover. Only Cons are gas mileage and wide turning radius. I get compliments on my car all the time or ppl ask what it is!

Never noticed that the 09s didn't have a power tail gate... The newer ones do lol. I do think it is neat how nimble these are. Just wish they were a smidgen more practica,l but as my dealer says, its a niche car. We liked it, but the MDX/X5 worked better as a 'family' car plus their towing capacities were larger that this. This, even with the V8 wouldn't tow our boat. :( PS: if you ever get the opportunity to drive the V8, drive it lol. Holy crap those things move out. lol

I have a 2009 and it’s been the best car I’ve ever owned. It has 125 k miles on it now and still is faster off the line than almost every other car. Big trucks often try to drag race me and it’s such a blast leaving them in the dust! People don’t expect an SUV to be that fast. Every time I take it in for an oil change they just tell me everything about your car is in perfect shape and I’m on my way. I love my FX!

I am not a fan for that brown color, let alone the diamond shaped insert pattern. I love infiniti's sporty feel, and always like the 1st gen FX; in particular the 07-08 models. But for this newest one, I agree that infiniti over did with the curvy design and I am not a fan of this particular color combo. Also way too many different materials being used. I like their current interior designs since they are all like the same color all around not wood, aluminum, leather, chrome and black dash.
