Hey Scotty my brother has a 2004 taurus se heat went out two days ago engine temp just went to hot today thermostat radiator water pump and thoughts not sure why its getting so hot Its also winter up here bye. Engine also sounds a bit ruff some chattering there and the engine has a whirring down sound when car turns off. Very puzzled thing goin on here. New engine as well not sure what other parts were replaced the car seems to have never ending occurance of problems. Is it a money pit car has 230,000 miles on and counting. my brother doesn't like driving however his money is tight should he invest in a different car.

@@B0xlife1 good question... I’m very torn bc I loved my g35... the exhaust note, the “snappy-ness” of the direct injection/ natural aspirated engine and that mean / bad boy look of the coupe along with all the memories I built with it so my view maybe skewed in that sense. But as for the Q... it’s way more refined, and technologically advanced with bells and whistles but the aggression isn’t quite there. Again I was 18 w the g (freshman in college) and now 29 with a more refined gentlemen’s coupe so maybe this is the progression I needed but still nostalgic for my G... the red sport maybe a diff story but I have the 3.0t. I love this brand. Very happy with all 3 of them. Compared to Lexus and the german cars you get more value with the Infiniti. Sad that they dont sell as well as the other brands, but i have found most people are mindless sheep who buy what everyone does so that might explain it. The only real knock would be the infotainment system is old compared to the competition, but I find the only infotainment that matters in a car is controlled by my right foot. And by that standard my Q60 is best in class.

Ive owned 4 cars in my driving days, 2 were infiniti, I had an early production G35 Sedan that I loved and Drove it for 12 years till I spent more than $1,200 trying to get the A/C fixed, the part the dealer said would fix it was not available, I scoured the internet and finally found one, paid the cash to get it installed, and less than 10 mins of driving, and no air, so id tried the last shot repair and unf it was time to let go of my dream car from 2003... id put over 200k miles on it with no real major issues beyond the A/C, I replaced it with a 2014 QX70, which I still own, the sad part is Infiniti let the modelgo without much of a tech upgrade, so no blind spot monitoring, remote start, cooled seats ( was available on 1 configuration sadly with black on black colors, which doesnt deal well with summer temps of 90+ for months) anywho, unless they really come back with something good, my QX will prob be my last Infiniti and allready worried about parts that became and issue with My G35... They have Discontinued the G37C, the Q70, the QX70, and so far beyond the Q50, Q60, or the QX80 (beyond my budget even used) and with moving away from performance, style, tech, and using more CVTs, its not looking good for Infiniti...

I love my 2012 QX56. I've had to do a little wrenching on it and had to chase down a couple of gremlins. However, it's just been better than the Chevy and RAM 1500s I've had previously.

"To infinity and beyond"! Buzz Light Year Why, oh why do these car manufactures insist on making electrics to look exactly like the old gassers? No! I want my electric to look exactly like the Old School VW, Westfalia camper vans. complete, with pop top, rear seat that folds down to a bed, with ice box, sink w/running water, closet and and cuby holds everywhere. Make it all wheel drive with great ground clearance, so I can use it as a bug-out vehicle when SHTF. I sold my Westfalia and 74 bug (one owner, me) back in 1997 and I have missed them both ever since. Scotty, great video! Thank you

Hey Scotty, the first gen Qx4 was a VG33 powered 3.3liter v6 same as the Nissan Pathfinder of that year. Then in 2001 is when the VQ35de took place until 2004. It wasn’t until 2005 when the VQ40 V6 was offered in the Nissan Pathfinder as well as the Vk56 5.6 V8 as a option that is mentioned starting model year 2008 :)

I'm currently leasing the 2021 QX80 Sensory 4WD with advanced technology, and without it, I wouldn't survive winter, especially when I have to work on a snow day. Yeah it's outdated, but at least it's reliable, and is based off the Nissan Patrol and Nissan Armada.

Infiniti should’ve chased the luxury EV market way back in 2012 with the debut of their LE concept. Nissan had the Leaf and were far ahead in BEV technology. Too little too late. Hoping they can turn around and be competitive again.

Current owner of an Infiniti Qx70 LIMITED in Pearl White. 85k Miles. I plan to push this car 20 years and push into the electric era as one of the relics as i'm thinking electric cars will slowly take over. Best part is I have Chevy for my routine runs so the SUV only gets highway miles. I love this car every day more and more.

It's FX35 not FX34. Infiniti has suffered in slow sales because they traded Sport Luxury for Economy Luxury. The change to smaller engines and CVT Transmission to improve economy caused them to lose sales. The only cars that still are considered Sport Luxury are the Q50 and Q60 because of the larger turbo engines and the 7 Speed Transmission. They need to make available the 3.0 L Turbo V6 and 7 speed Transmission in all of their vehicles. I own a 20th Anniversary G37XS Sedan and a 2012 FX50S, which are both rare vehicles.

I grow up driving Nissan sport cars as a teenager during the golden area of Japanese sport cars. Best car I owned 2004 Infiniti G35x sedan with Nismo body kit from the factory. Run perfect for 8 years of ownership. I run the car hard for my daily driver , reliable all year round, even bad weather with its awd. I had No issues, just oil change and go! Then I got a 2011 G37x unfortunately had many issues even with good maintenance and engine gave out on me!? I had my eye on the Infiniti Q50 red sport for years, test driving every year model! I was loyal to the brand. Driving Nissan/Infiniti over 20 years but wasn’t the same anymore. Then test drove KIA Stinger and end up taking it home. Best choice over Q50 which I have respect for!
