2009 Mazda 3i Leak Detection Pump Replacement

P0422 - OBD II FIX
CLEARED engine light by replacing.

My son-in-law's 2008 2.3 litre has P2401 code (Leak detection pump control circuit low). From what I've seen so far you have to drop the subframe to get to this delightful piece of engineering. It might be worth me having a try at Brody's method. Thanks for this.

How did you determine that Bosch part number is the correct one for your vehicle? Nowhere do I see it is th correct part number when I look up the part for a 2009 Mazda with a 2.0L.

Not sure if you still use this account but, did it work? Did the p0442 code go away after this?

Yes. Code went away. I was chasing it down even replaced the gasket around the gas tank before this … that did not fix it. This however did. It’s a bit tricky to get to but it did fix the code.
