Nice looking 987, much better condition than the 986 from the last video. I had to peel the same type of rock guard off the 997 I bought from Japan last year. It took using a 3M rubber wheel to get all the adhesive off.

1:18 the last one on the channel honestly seemed pretty decent - what was trashy about it?

That one belonged to me and I sent it back to auction. The heavy smoke smell and repainted front/rear bumpers (which wasn’t mentioned on the auction inspection sheet) killed it for me. I have a sunburst yellow 92 miata that was repainted at some point in its life with mismatched panels and I didn’t want to have to deal with another mismatched yellow car. The crown I bought last year from auction was significantly better condition despite being the same grade, mileage and year, so I was expecting better.

@@grego9198​​⁠ Sorry to hear that… It was probably a screwup from the USS examiner, but they do overrate their cars compared to other auctions, I’ve seen an f30 bmw move from an aucnet auction to USS and from a 4,5 car it became a 5. And I saw a 4,5 car with an au2 (dent+scratch) on a door. And I only actively watched them for like a month. However the USS is so big that not buying from them would mean loosing out on like half of the cars…
