2009 RZR Front diff rebuild

I made this for opinions on if I should adjust the pinion after I replaced the sprague.

There's a gap in the case on the right side of the image.

armature plate not installed into lower groves of ring gear, you put in in groves of roller cage and rested it on the higher plane of the ring gear. rotate armature to where it is in the lowest position on the ring gear.

No, it was the armature plate. It was supposed to sit in grooves and some notches in the ring gear. I wasnt putting it in the notches.

i had to turn the bearing cage over to get the notches to line up and allow the sprague to drop into the lower notches

line up the groves on your roller cage for armature plate with the lower notches on ring gear face.

Does it have side shims??If it does,I would swap them side to side,or if it has thrust washers,check them for thicknesses n see if swapping them around helps loosen it up as the mesh is too tight once you bolt the halves together...

I have to change the front diff bearings have not seen a video on how to do that wish I could find one

How can I check that it is being energized when I apply voltage?

James Hill use a volt meter at the plug and see if you are getting power when you flip the switch.

Is it possible to slide the prop shaft out and replace it ?

Yeah, bad armature plate.
