I have a 9-5, also from 2009, but a station wagon, 2.0t with a manual gearbox. My friend bought it from a dealer in Katowice (Poland). It was one of the last Saabs sold, I have it for 7 years and I am very happy with it. The factory software was too weak and I bought the software for 221HP from Swedish BSR, I changed the exhaust to all stainless steel - I recommend everyone to do so, the factory exhaust system after 2006 consists of two catalysts just behind the turbine. After installing a sports exhaust system with a sports catalytic converter (much easier exhaust flow) we get a different car, it is much stronger at low revs, it is easier to screw in and overall it feels much easier to accelerate. as for chip tuning, it is the basis in Saab. the cars have a very large supply from the factory and the 2.0 easily pull 220HP and 2.3T 250-280HP. I am seeding Saab lovers from Poland.

I have a 2010 end of line 2.3 Aero HOT manual 260PS Turbo Edition wagon. Only sold in the U.K. as the final OG 9-5. Fabulous.

I love the condition of it. Mine is 2009 9-5 Griffin as well, a bit more worn both inside and out but still completely functional and sound. It hit 160,000 miles last Saturday 🎉

That's a real Saab! Have the same one. Only in black. Unrivaled highway milegrinder. Made for long distance traveling.

Sadly its not a Real Saab... The NG-900 was the last "Real" Saab

@@teokarlsson305 Hi, is your statement from a Saab lover edition but in general any Saab car is above average compared to other car makes? Im getting exhausted from all those Saab/GM opinions. I would like to buy a Saab as my daily car and Im getting lost in time. I dropped an offer for 95NG then 93NG due to GM comments. Then I started to search for 93OG, found one from 2002 SE Anniversary edition but guys say it is not a true Saab anymore and it has oil sludge issues. Then I decided to do a research of 95 2004-2005 compared to 95 2006-2009. I like the quirky design of 2006-2009 but guys say the interior is cheap compared to older model and Im not talking about which car is supposed to have the best seats. That is a topic for another day. So what is your advice here? If it was up to me, I would go with 93NG due to sharp front looks but I fear interior quality which seems to be the best inside 95 2004-2005. You see how things can get over complicated :D

@@viliamgajdos5917 that's the saab struggle. Hard to find the exact ones that check all the boxes. But in a perfect world it would rain 04/05 9-5 aeros all year round

Only 1 seat heater button for the rear but it controls both outboard seating positions. Both outboard seating positions are either on or off at same time.

I have an 04 Aero and I love it! Do you know if the backseat headrest locks when you lift them? For some reason mine don't lock in place. Thank you.
@ThePhotographersGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I really only spent the one day with the car, so sadly I'm not much of a help as how to fix the rear headrests in place. Best of luck

The Griffin gets a unique 3.0 lites engine, isn’t it?
@JetNix3 жыл бұрын
The one lit brake light was really the brake light, not the rear fog light? I see the fog lights are turned on.
@ThePhotographersGarage3 жыл бұрын
You might be onto something! Ill need to check that out
@harlanlaskey91363 жыл бұрын
Yes, the left inner brake light is in fact the single rear fog light. It has its own button just beneath the main light switch, and is indicated on the dash by that amber light icon you see between 1:40-1:50

Some items on this car indicate that it is NOT a 2009. I can’t be sure of its actual vintage but the auto shift, key lock, and engine appear to be ‘02-05…tell me if I’m wrong but the features & trim don’t match up.
@ThePhotographersGarage Жыл бұрын
Yep it is indeed a 2009 MY car. I'm no expert on the year over year trim changes, but it was titled as a 2009 and the VIN decoded as such. Here was the result of the auction and all: carsandbids.com/auctions/3oED4BVE/2009-saab-9-5-griffin-edition
