I am doing a bunch of planning right now. Trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with this truck. I am really enjoying driving it. It feels just like a brand new truck. It's been so long since I have had that feeling. The small tires are really bugging me but not exactly sure what I want to do with them.

mossman381 I have done nothing to my new truck but put weathertech mats in it and put strobes on it I really like it the way it is I’m sure I’ll do a few more things eventually but I have been more focused on my hot rod lately

@@chevyfan82 Pretty sure they did that to save money. The smaller tires work but look terrible.

@@mossman381 probably a good part of it, but they also had a bulletin that installing larger tires would void transmission warranty just another way of getting a way with smaller tires. This was impart due to the Allison Transmission which turned out to be a great success even though it was not used on gas models except for the 8.1 big block which I have. I think they also used a smaller tire for tow ratings as well. I installed 285/70/17 and I've had zero issues actually works even better improved mpg and rides better.

Changing the tires size will throw off the speedo. I can see how the computer wouldn't be happy not knowing the real speed the truck is going. Any programmer can fix that. The only truck I have gotten a programmer for was darth dually. I did correct the tire size. I will most likely get a programmer for this truck. My concern over getting bigger tires is having to cut the fenders up to clear them. With a truck this mint I am not sure I want to do that.

Never liked the awkward looking and disproportionately large front bumper on this model of Chevy. Super clean truck though and you have good reason to be excited about it.

I will probably finish buffing the rest of the truck but that's it. Paint and body are excellent.

Time to pull the z71 logos next. Also thing will clear 35s on a level, just sayin lol

The z71 might go. It will get bigger tires but with a truck this nice I am not sure I want to trim the fenders to clear tires.
