Can't wait to hear about how the alignment went on that Spyder. On tail-dragger airplanes they toe-in the main wheels in order to help the airplane track straighter down the runway when they're moving too slow to make the rudder effective. Sounds like that Spyder is toed-in the way it's fighting you in a turn. No car tire on my bike! But I also don't use any kind of battery tender. Even though I'm guilty of doing a short grocery run, I also ride longer and more often than a lot of people so I've never had a battery issue. After 65,000 miles on my V-Star in 5 years, the original battery still turned her over just fine - I had to replace a starter relay once though. Have a great Tuesday! Peace and love to you both.

The odd handlebar extensions sort of surprised me, but I've been seeing more and more RT handlebar replacements on the older GS models lately. It is a little more comfortable for most, I think. Some sort of car tire on the rear is all the rage here in the SW, though I've got no real complaints with my stock Kenda. Wifey and I just made our longest one-day jaunt last week on the RTL, 512 miles. Gotta say, the helmet bothered me more than anything. Ha..! These Spyders are pretty darned comfortable, albeit with an Airhawk. Think I'll keep that as our personal best, though. Broke the return trip into two legs, and thank God, because we hit 110+ temps on the way back. Took me two days to catch up with your vlog, too, but a great trip, nonetheless. Be safe...

I took your advice about short rides are bad for the bike. I use my Harley Lowrider and SpYder RT-L for our all-day rides. I have a 300cc Xmax scooter I use to go local shopping. Even at that, My stores are all less than 5 miles away. I take the 'long way' to them. May not be 20 minutes, but I do RIDE them until the engine temp gets up to requirement and maybe a couple miles farther. After 3 years with the RT-L, I'm still having a hard time remembering to NOT park it in gear. I even posted a little note on the parking brake switch. It is helping me to break the old habit. I have 5 of the Optimate 3’s. 4 at home and one at work... I have the GSA on an Optimate-4 CANbus, well, because it has to be different..! There always has to be a difficult one in the crowd... Lol Thanks Craig!

Because BRP and Kenda Tire spent millions designing a "For Special Motorcycle Use Only" tire specifically for the handling and vehicle stability controls of the Spyder line of Can-Am Roadsters. Light vehicle with only three wheels on the ground has special needs... A car tire does not have the special sidewall, load and traction characteristics of the specially designed Kenda tires. sorry for my ignorance, but why is a car tire dangerous?...I ride an FZ07 and would never put one on, but then again, my tires aren't as expensive as Can Am Spyder tires...however, I do know riders who have put car tires on their 2 wheel machines and haven't had any issues...just curious on your thoughts...

Being a new Spyder rider in Australia I found it quite interesting about what you said about car tyres on a Spyder as you can guess there’s a lot of disinformation on the web about tyres, luckily being here in Australia you can ride all year so I’m in two minds about a battery tender because when I’m out no short rides here 😊

I'm sure that Spyder will be riding just sweet by the time you've finished with her Shawn! Drop testers were invented by battery manufacturers in my opinion....coz if that battery was OK when you started it sure wasn't by the time the test was finished! Would you only change the rear tyre on the Spyder Shawn...those fronts were awful old in my book, legal or not...especially if that old gal has been standing around a while..... a good buy for someone by the looks of things.
