2009 Subaru Forester - Rear axle replacement

I'm curious ...shouldn't the circlip (that holds the cv axle in the rear diff) come out with the cv axle?

Do you hear the clicking while driving straight or do you have to turn to hear it, like front axles?

Well, i heard the faint clicking while driving straight ahead! That being said, i should also tell you that changing both the axles didn't making the clicking go away!!!!! It's still a work in progress!!!!!! So, I realize already that my answer won't help you!!!!!
