2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser Long-Term Review

Don't know if you'll ever see this but the first minute of your vid hit me hard. I bought mine kind of on a whim, I really liked them but I just needed a new car sooooo.... FJ but nowadays it's a third car (2013 with only 56k on it) but every time I drive it I tell my wife to remind me to drive it once and a while because I fall in love with it every time I sit in the seat. Glad to see other people loving FJs.

I simply love my 07 FJ for the look of it and I love how it rides. I bought my first with 63000 and traded it 15 for a new 15 jeep cherokee sport and boy did I regret that.But now 2020 may 9th I got my second one with 177000 Mike's and it drives as good as the first one with 102000 Miles when I traded. I will never trade my fj ever again.

Wow that's not a lot for ten years keep it good vehicles I traded my first one like a dummy but I finally got another one and it's no way on earth I'm parting with this one and it had 177000 Mike's when I got it in excellent condition as good as miy first one I bought with 53000 on it

I bought a 2007 with high miles recently. It's in great condition, Great body lines. The smooth transmission and engine are kept up and tight; burns no oil; the frame has very little surface rust; the body and interior are excellent. After looking at YT video's I see i could have easily gotten burned but fortunately, the two previous owners took care of it and I see no signs they used it off road. I didn't look at the frame or check the history of the transmission fluid changes. That was a risk and dumb. I also didn't know that some earlier models have inside fender damage you have to look for. I would have seen that one however. Point being. I got lucky but those are the things to look for. You can get burned real quick if you buy one with a rusted out frame or the transmission fluid wasn't kept up on. I didn't know but I changed my transmission fluid not knowing what to expect and luckily, it was red as can be. I personally wouldn't buy one that was used off road as a sport unless that's what you want to use it for. I love mine however. Rides very nice, tight and has great power. The 07 usees only premium gas. That's a negative but at least it's burning good cleaner gas. I'll keep it as a collecters car when I'm done.

I got sad watching this video. I just got a 2008 FJ a 4 months ago. Every mundane drive to work is now a proud adventure. You see 'em on the road but only 1/20th of the time you see a Jeep Wrangler. I love my FJ Cruiser. The only thing I hate is the crappy gas mileage, ha ha!

I own a honda element and I test drove the FJ yesterday. I used to own a mazda RX-8 and I had forgotten what a vehicle with soul feels like. The FJ immediately reminded me that there's more to driving than just moving the wheel.

Suspension, body work (rust), dash panel, and a few other smaller items I don't recall. I thought the money would be better spent toward a new JL Wrangler. Boy, was I mistaken!
