Nice test! I have a 2014 FJ stock. So no heavy 33" tires and no heavy front bumper or winch. In the first 3 years of ownership I got 20mpg on regular gasoline. Now in order to get 20mpg I have to use Premium gas. When I use regular gas I'm getting between 17 & 19mpg. So our FJ's either love octane or oil refineries are doing something nasty with the gasoline mix. On a trip through Salt Lake City Utah with 85mph speed zones I was getting 16mpg and going through California & Oregon with 70mph speed zones I was getting 26mpg. Now that I've paid him off I just don't want him to break so far so good.

@garrettsmith82863 жыл бұрын
Superchargers are more fuel efficient & the V8 has more torque meaning you don't have to give it as much gas to accelerate as with a vehicle with less torque. So not sure what your point is? Personally they should have put the 4.7V8 in the FJ but Toyota is to conservative.

FJ Cruiser is my favourite 4x4. I would rather have an FJ Cruiser over any Landrover or Rangerover. You can still buy them brand new in the Philipinnes built in Japan. I live in Thailand so not available and the import tax is 210% on the cost so we all drive Toyota Hilux Double Cabs - diesel or Toyota Fortuna (simialr to Forrunner) - diesel. The FJ Cruiser with a Toyota 2.8ltr 4 cylinder diesel would be the way to go.
