2009 Toyota Tundra 5.7l P0300, P0305, P0307 4low Flashing, VSC Traction Control Light on.
I realized after I made the video that I shouldn't have been trying to count injector numbers with the coils. I have no idea when the injectors are firing without syncing and injector.

That is because you disconnected the battery and reset the modules. You should really be careful just disconnecting a battery on never vehicles, you could end up with more issues because of it losing all its sensor aging, and adaptive values.

Hope it helped but if you see no damage on the outside there probably isn't any damage on the inside. Test the wires first.

I am no expert nor am I in anyway trying to make a critical statement about anything that another guy does with his channel, but I will make an honest suggestion to you my friend. Please don't let me come off as being critical, because my channel is NOT perfect by any means, but I would suggest you try to reduce your video length a bit. It seems that many people's attention span is 10-15 minutes tops-no matter how excellent the content is. You can assume that the vast majority of your audience understands the basic aspects of the diagnostic process, but again, I am not saying that you have to do anything differently, just a friendly suggestion man😉👍. Anyways, great video man, just wanted to give you feedback on what I've noticed after watching your videos and approach. Nevertheless, I am by no means perfect, so take it for what it is worth.🙂 I'm subscribed and onto additional videos.

PAULY'S AUTO I kinda like the longer ones but I leave it up to me to skip ahead or x1 speed but I like seeing the process unfold rather than see the 8 min after the issue has been found it helps new techs I think to see what directions to take. Again I skip around. We could be watching Stephen Cox 🤣😂😂 instead

I'm all for any type of criticism. Some people like longer videos and some people like shorter ones. I'm not really sure what to do. All my videos are actually full length. I do not cut things out. They are all pretty much the engine diagnosis in real time mines a few minutes to grab tools or undo something. If you feel I should shorten them, I can certainly do that.

@@RobertDotterer no you do you, I'm just throwing out a suggestion. It's tough to film to begin with, so do what you think is best or what works for you man! I know that at least for me, I like to watch ALOT of videos, but it's tough to do when they are lengthy, primarily because time is limited for everyone. I just have noticed that short 10-15 minute videos tend to get more views, because you gotta remember who is generally watching these types of videos-other technician's primarily. So for example, unless you're trying to film a how to step by step etc to test something, a short and concise explanation of the setup is generally understood when filming the test...no need to include every little detail, but if you are trying to teach how to setup a test, well now, that's a completely different thing! Anyways, I'm not sure who you are trying to appeal to? So maybe it's just fine the way it is? I'm merely offering you my perspective as a fellow tech who understands how difficult it is to film your work and wanted to give you honest feedback! I think everyone has a unique personality and approach, but I had to be honest with you, I tend to skip through videos when they go beyond 30min. I'm usually looking for here's the codes, here's what I tested, here's what I found, this is the diagnosis, and then if possible the final repair. I mean I have watched my own videos that got lengthy and thought to myself, well this is WAY TOO long, could have cut this out and that, because it is generally unnecessary to cover every little thing along the way; not to mention extremely difficult for you as a tech to be timely and get your work done above all else😉👍. Keep killing it, I'll keep up with your videos man...appreciate you sharing your experience with us!

You are going to have to get service information and look up what why the codes set and do diagnostic tests. You have to treat every vehicle different even if the have the same codes.

I have a 2013 crewmax with the 5.7 4X4 recently purchased new battery and over the weekend P0307 came up so I swapped cylinder 1coil pack with cylinder 7 nothing changed so I changed 1spark plug with cylinder 7 still no change. I’m hoping it’s a battery issue causing the issue .

A battery won't cause a single cylinder misfire. It's either fuel or compression if it isn't spark.

Not sure if you monitor this or not still, 07 Tundra, MAF was really dirty due to the CAI filter not being attached at all for about a month, CEL was on, put a new CAI filter on, cleared CEL good to go then came right back with CEL. Took MAF sensor out, cleaned it, cleared codes, removed battery cables, reattached, checked codes, all good. truck ran fine no lights. turned wheel, steering wheel locked, VSC , Traction Control Light, and CEL came on. I have the bypass kit for the secondary air pump issue so i know its not the pumps, brake light and reverse bulbs and license plate bulbs are all working. Would a speed sensor possibly cause this? Never had an issue out of this truck, 340k miles.

I don't really guess without seeing a full system scan with any possible codes or looking at live data. So many things can cause that.

Any chance you had a hard time starting the truck in the beginning? And also did you have excessive white smoke coming out of one tail pipe? I have the same codes and light flashing as well
@RobertDotterer
@RobertDotterer 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think there was any smoke otherwise I would have pointed it out in the video. You need to start diagnosing the truck and work through the issues. Even though you may have the same codes and same symptoms do not mean you have the exact same problem and it can easily lead down a rabbit hole.

"What does 4lo have to do with misfire?" Exactly what I said for my truck
@RobertDotterer

Toyota disables everything when they have a misfire, a lot of manufacture do this. 4lo usually involves higher load and higher rpm which could damage the catalytic converters faster.

My truck did the same thing 3 months in and I put new hub assemblies, axles,abs sensors, front and rear brake upgrade kit, newer rims and tires, exhaust, serpentine belt, front window tint, and rear bed cover. Man she looks amazing rides and handles great. Next I'm gonna put a 3" lift and upgrade the sound system. She has 120,000 miles on her and she will get out and go baby go. 🏇🏇🏇🏇
